These three towns are the most popular of the eastern shore of the lake.
Lazise: located in the south eastern portion, its name means "place on the lake", an enchanting place to visit with its picturesque areas and its medieval castle. The most evident building is an excellent blend of fantastic castellated monumental setting visible from the lake Known as the Customs of Veneto. Also in the town there are many shops and restaurants providing facilities of great interest for visitor. For families there are many other attractions in the area including Gardaland theme park, Movie land (Movie Studios Park), Acqua Paradise Park and the Zoo all within easy traveling distance by car or bus.
Bardolino : an attractive place for a holiday. It has ancient origins, picturesque pastel-colored buildings and a lovely position on the lakeside surrounded by many vineyards, olive groves, and oleanders; it is a holiday resort full of character which is worth discovering. !!! On Thursday there is a huge market where bargains can easily be found. It is world famous for its Bardolino wine ;this you cannot afford to miss!
Garda: is another picturesque bay on the eastern shore of the lake with an attractive marina and promenade surrounded by idyllic scenery. A walk in the old town centre with its small streets offering some interesting shops and restaurants is also recommended.
The nearby small promontory called Punta San Vigilio is certainly one of the most romantic and fascinating places in the whole Italy. Its widest point a small bay opens, called the "Baia delle Sirene” on the other side you'll find a small picturesque port. The area has always inspired a number of poets and artists in the past. Along the cobbled pathways and the rows of cypress trees, one can leave behind the chaotic rhythms of daily life and find a peaceful and relaxing spirit.
